Mana Taheri

Business and design

When it comes to exploring innovation, Mana Taheri wears two hats; as a researcher and as a practitioner. She is a research fellow at the HPI- Stanford Design Thinking Research Program, where in her PhD thesis, she explores the impact of cultural context on design thinking trainings. Her expertise is in designing effective learning experiences, both onsite and online; apart from being a member of the teaching team at the HPI School of Design Thinking since 2014 (https://hpi.de/en/school-of-design-thinking/hpi-d-school/coaches/mana-taheri.html), she is one of the instructors of a Massive Open Online Course on design research; Inspirations for Design; A Course on Human-Centered Research (https://open.hpi.de/courses/insights-2017). Mana has designed and lead workshops and trainings in different cultural contexts, from Tehran, to Havana, and from Berlin to Temuco. Her passion about working in international settings comes from her own background; She was born and raised in Tehran where she obtained her Bachelor degree in Economics. She then moved to Berlin and pursuit a Masters’ degree in Economics and Management. Mana has a passion for drawing and helps others to communicate complex ideas using simple visualisation
